Gov. Jindal's current budget depends on the sale of New Orleans Adolescent Hospital (NOAH).
In the spending plan for the LSU public hospitals, $35 million is tied to the sale of the New Orleans Adolescent Hospital, which hasn't yet been sold. That's the safe place we used to have for our suicidal and homicidal kids before we routinely shipped them off to Shreveport.
